In the field of construction, all types of construction materials used to construct works are required to meet certain specified standards to ensure the best quality for the project. This standard is regulated by a national or international organization such as ANSI, UL, BS …

Before being put on the market, construction materials will be tested for quality based on the set standards. Consumers can rely on those standards to evaluate quality products and make appropriate choices.

With steel wire and cable, this is a group of electrical equipment products, executing for mechanical and electrical items such as industrial parks, export processing zones, commercial centers, buildings, offices … Therefore, the standards of steel pipe has a very practical meaning in bringing quality steel wire pipe products to the market.

UL standard

UL (Underwriters Laboratories) is a global scientific corporation founded in 1984 with more than a century of professional experience in innovating safety solutions, helping to protect people, products and facilitating trade.

UL has used accurate scientific processes and the highest ethical principles, to provide reliable results to consumers around the globe. In 2014, UL has customers in 113 countries with more than one billion consumers in Asia, Europe and North America receiving safety information from UL, with 159 laboratories providing certification globally with 10,842 employees in 44 countries.

UL certification is of great value because it is evaluated by a reputable and widely recognized global scientific corporation not only in the United States and North America, but also in many territories, countries and regulators. Reasonably, consumers trust as a certification for a safe product.

In Vietnam, constructions designed by design consulting groups and investors require electrical conduit to be UL certified.

ANSI standard

ANSI standard is a set of American standards issued by ANSI (American National Standards Institute). ANSI promotes the development of American national standards through accreditation of standards organization processes.

The procedures adopted by standards organizations to develop American national standards, which are recognized by ANSI, must be those that meet ANSI’s essential requirements for fairness, publicity, consensus and correct order.

Products meet quality standards of ANSI / UL

The organization’s original headquarters was based in London, now moved to Geneve based in 1948. The goal of IEC is to promote promoting international cooperation on standardization in the field of electricity and electronics and related issues such as certification of electrical standard conformity and support for international understanding.

IEC has a close cooperation with many international standardization and professional organizations such as ISO, International Telecommunications Union -ITU; Cenelec – European Technical Standardization Committee. In particular, between IEC and ISO has established an agreement on the scope of activities of each organization. Under this agreement, the scope of IEC activities covers standardization in the field of electricity and electronics.
